Sometimes, to be special is to win. Mido is a luxury watch brand that successfully puts this word into practice. Not all Mido watches are special. Instead, Mido has some special models in each collection or has some special viriants/editions for certain models. In this way, Mido keeps its conservative customers and attracts not a few fashion persons as well. And that is part of the reason Mido rises so quickly in recent years.
Recently, Mido refreshed its long-established Miltifort collection with several new models-including regular three-hand and chronograph models. And there is a very special model I love very much. Featuring nice black and orange contract, this model, called Mido Multifort PVD Special Edition Chronograph, is really special and cool. Under $2,000, you can hardly find a second watch deserves buying like this one. It is sporty, practical and cool-looking.
Sized at 44mm, the case of this special Miltifort watch is crafted from stainless steel and coated with black PVD. The black dial, with Geneva stripes that is normally applied on movement rotors, sports bright orange hour markings, hands and wordings. The hour markers are slightly recessed and filled with luminous substance. Covering the beautiful dial is a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating. Water resistant to 100 meters, the watch is completed by a comfortable attractive rubber strap.
Beating inside the watch is a s a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement. If you love watches in simple style, this watch is also available in plain stainless steel. But personally, I will go directly for this special edition. The price is around $1,850.
