Do not panic: This is first thing you should realize every time. Avoid being panic. If you will not do this, you are likely to make things even worse. Remember, this is not the end of the world, everything from business activity, stocks, and real estate will definitely all bounce back eventually.

  • Save money: Save your money in certain areas, like entertainment, food and drink, and travel. These are an few things that you can live without.
  • Manage your debt: In order to manage your debts, examine your short-term liabilities. You can cut down your debt with high interest rate. Also, you can refinance your debt, because in recession, interest should be low to spur growth.
  • Work harder and effectively: Be responsible and take your job more seriously. This will obviously help you, and at the same time it will help your company. You can also help cost saving for your company.
  • Buy books: In case, if you are fired from your job, indulge yourself in reading books. This will increase your skills, like negotiation skill, marketing skill, and other skills that you need. Thus, buy useful books, from where you can get new ideas for your job or business.
  • Set up your own business: If you are unemployed at this time, you can start up your own business. According to Robert Kiyosaki, “if you want to be rich, don't work for other people”.
